Dermis, the layer under epidermis is made up of fibroblasts and creates a tough, supportive cell matrix for the skin. It is consisted of two layers; thin papillary layer attached to epidermis with thin loosely arranged of collagen fibers and a thick reticular layer containing bundles of collagen extends from the base of the papillary layer to the hypodermis.
